30th Anniversary
FAAF celebrates 30
years
2007 marks the 30th anniversary of the Flint Area
Advertising Federation (FAAF).
In 1977, a group of advertising professionals came together with a goal
– to increase the awareness and the effectiveness of advertising within
the community and to offer a resource for information and assistance to
other professionals and especially local students interested in the
advertising industry.
Over
the years, these goals have been met. The club however has been through
some good times and some bad times. Times when membership was at an
incredible high and times when the club struggled to just fill
positions on the board. Through all of this, FAAF charged ahead.
Today,
we are at another rebuilding stage. Good plans are in place to grow
FAAF and re-establish its’ relevance within the community.
In
February 2007, FAAF celebrated its 30th Anniversary at the ADDY Awards,
perfectly titled “Flashback 30”. With personal invitations, all past
presidents were asked to attend and some to even present. It was a
great night.
